PHYSICAL THERAPIST

Full-Time

Position Description


Fargo Ergonomics Occupational Health is a growing company and is seeking a motivated physical therapist to work full-time (32-40 hours per week).


Our goal at Fargo Ergonomics is to reduce and prevent work-related injuries in the West Fargo – Fargo - Moorhead community and surrounding areas. We provide solutions for small to large businesses in a large variety of industries. We are also able to rehabilitate an injured worker if needed.


Someone who enjoys positively impacting our community, is passionate about helping people feel happier and healthier and is goal oriented would be a great fit.


Job Duties

 

  • Establish a plan of care and treat a variety of disorders to increase physical and functional capabilities.

  • Restore and maintain quality of life and well-being and encourage a healthy lifestyle in order to complete functional, daily tasks safely and efficiently.

  • Proactively treat the overall person in order to increase safety and independence with ADLs, and limit the progression of diseases, disorders or impairments.


Qualifications

 

  • Physical therapy degree from an accredited school

  • License in the state of ND or in the process of obtaining a license for the state of ND

 

Additional areas would be preferred:

 

  • Good communication skills

  • High quality time management skills

  • Positive working relationships with coworkers and businesses in our community

  • Experience with treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, work-related injuries, sports-related injuries and/or experience in orthopedics

  • Involvement with functional capacity evaluations, post-offer employment testing and functional job assessments


Other tasks


The physical therapist will often collaborate with the staff at Fargo Ergonomics, external social workers and companies with injured employees. The physical therapist will complete evaluations, set goals, provide treatment appropriately, modify interventions as needed, document patient’s progress and discharge at the applicable time.

Physical Demands


The physical demands of the job include standing, bending, sitting and grasping. Lifting (rarely) 50 pounds. Pulling/pushing (rarely) 30 pounds of force.
